Siam Orchid Thai Restaurant

Visiting from Vancouver.....we are total foodies.
My wife and I were slightly reserved at first because of the chaotic atmosphere. Servers running everywhere without any real game plan, but somehow getting the food out nice and hot to the right tables. Honestly though, the chaotic and busy atmosphere somehow added to the ambience. The food was unbeleivable, out of this world. No exaggeration. Enjoy!!

group of golfing buddies ate at siam orchid in june 2009. Awesome evening, excellent food and amazing service. I recommend everyone try the place. I will be going back again as I am in town again with my family this time.

My husband and I love to eat at Siam Orchid. The food has alot of flavor. The owner Ronnie is a hoot. He is very personable and makes your dining experience A+
We have invited friends who've never eaten Thai and now they're hooked!!!
What more can we say, we will go back again and again.

EXCELLENT FOOD. Don't believe what the bad reviews say as I have eaten here over 40 times over the past 4 years and have NEVER had a bad meal. Probably someone who owns the competing Thai restaurants trying to bash their food and it's completely ridiculous. The Orchid Curry is to die for and the Pad Thai is splendid. Great atmosphere and it never takes long to get the food. Ronnie is a wonderful host and his wife is a amazing cook.

Never had a bad meal here. Lunch prices are great and the food is fabulous. If you like Thai food, you MUST check this place out. The owner/manager and the rest of the staff are always warm and welcoming. They really care about their food and their customers- if you have a problem make sure you let them know.

Siam Orchid is my favorite restaurant-used to eat there a few times a week...now i try to go as often as possible...so much flavor! great people!

This restaurant is the cleanist restaurant i have ever work in. The ownner is the cook and she always scrubing. A sparkle stove!The main waitor he is awesome because he always sees the funny side of thing.

ooooohhhh my god, this was far most the best experience i have had in Kelowna, the owner (who wasn't thai) served our table all night. made us laugh and made our night enjoyable.The food was absolutley amazing and came in perfect timing, The owner had mentioned that his wife was from Thailand and personally cooked our meal which made it more special. The only complaint was waiting for a table for about 45 minutes (which was worth the wait) next time I will make reservations. good experience in Kelowna for dining out.

Thai food lovers - BEWARE! My family and I visited Siam Orchid today with high hopes but left totally disappointed in its service and food. The restaurant is recommended by the resort we are staying at (Grand Okanagan), and on a few evening walks we noticed that the restaurant seems to have a lot of patrons so we felt confident in trying the restaurant.

We arrived at around 615PM and were able to get a table right away. The four of us ordered 4 dishes - two curries (1 chicken, 1 prawns), 1 garlic pork and 1 beef stir fry. The prices ranged from 10.5 CAD to 14 CAD for each dish. It took more than ONE HOUR for the first dish to arrive, and when it did, the portion size was no bigger than a butter dish. The next three dishes were similar in size, and large bowl of rice that we ordered was no where near enough food for all of us.

Then we discovered that the garlic pork we had ordered where mysteriously switched to beef with peanut sauce by the time we tasted and realized the error, we were so starved that we didn't bother to ask our server to correct our order. The rice that came with our dishes were severely undercooked and the grains were hard and difficult to chew. All this time no server came by once (after they dropped the food off) to see if we needed anything or if we liked the food - by now the restaurant was almost empty. It took another 15 minutes for us to finally stop one waitress to bring us the check.

You may be thinking that my family and I are large eaters by my description we are actually a family of tiny Asian Americans who don't even weigh 125 pounds each. We are so put off by the bad service and over-priced bad food that I feel like I have to put this out there so other tourists are aware when they step into this restaurant.
