Olympia Pizza & Greek Taverna

The biggest problem is consistency on their delivery food. We have to agree that when they do it right, it is the best pizza in town but .... that's not always the case. One night my husband actually accused our son of ordering from another pizza restaurant as it was so disgusting. But we've never had a problem when we eat in.

My wife and I went Olympia Greek Taverna on Saturday night for our anniversary, it was our first time ever, as we are new to kelowna but went because many of our friend recommended it to us, it was amazing! From the moment we walked in the door we were transported back to our honeymoon in Greece, the ambiance was really like you are in Greece it was both beautiful and authentic. The service was fast and friendly, our waitress was so happy to be with us while we celebrated our special day! We were promptly brought our wine, which was recommended by our server and perfect for our evening, than she brought us complimentary house made dinner rolls while we decide on our main course... Yummy! After we look over there menu for a while we asked the server for her suggestions on a appetizers and she suggested the flaming saganaki and calamari. We took her advice and so should you both were great, Greek cheese drizzled with brandy and lit at our table!!!! We haven't experienced that since we were in Greece. We decided on there roast lamb shoulder and posidan chicken as our mains because we asked our waitresses favorites, and she was right.... Delicious is all I can say! Mike the owner came over and introduced himself, just to check on our night, what a great touch. We finished our night with ekmek a amazing dessert and a few ouzos, and then were offered a driver take home.... You and your car to your destination for $10, after we heard they had that service we had a great Greek inspired coffee drink and got our server too call our driver service and got a safe ride home! Can't wait to go back, what a great way to spend our anniversary, or any other evening. It was next to none, you have to go it is a great place to spend an evening!

We decided to order a meal for delivery from Olympia Greek Tavern in Rutland. We ordered a large double cheese pizza for our kids, an order of hummus & pita, plus an order of chicken souvlaki and beef souvlaki. It was the first time that I was ever told the rice and potato portion of the souvlaki would be extra, however, we decided to order it anyway. The total bill was just over $88.00. The delivery driver arrived and dropped off the order. Unfortunately, we did not realize until he was gone that half of our order was missing. We didn't have the Greek salads, that are included with the souvlaki meals, nor did we have our hummus or tzatziki dips. We did, however, have the pita bread for the dips. We live 15 minutes away so when we called they told us that they could send the driver out as soon as he got back or we could just have a restaurant credit. We said we wanted the rest of our meals. After our meals were done, and 40 minutes later, the driver returned with our dips and salads and the excuse that it was the fault of the chef who, when we called, had already left the for the night. This was at 850 pm on a Friday night. I highly doubt the chef had already left. Then we heard the driver's hard luck story about having to drive all the way back out to bring us the rest of our order. Overall, the pizza was not worth the $32.50 we were charged, the souvlaki was OK but carrots and celery for a side vegetable when they are charging the outrageous prices that they are is unacceptable as was the pitiful amount of tzatziki and hummus that we had for our pita bread. The Greek salads, and I use the term loosely, were mostly comprised of green peppers. There must have been a good deal on them that week, along with the carrots and celery. To be given excuses instead of apologies is also unacceptable. I am thankful that we did not opt for a restaurant credit as we will never order from Olympia again nor will we patronize the restaurant in person. I actually wish the food had never arrived at all as it was the most pitiful meal I have ever eaten for $88.00! And to think we also paid for the delivery charges on top of it all and the driver got a tip on the first delivery run!! Never again Olympia Greek Tavern. You're food is unacceptable, as is your delivery service, and your restaurant is way over priced for what you are calling authentic Greek cuisine!

The taste is fantastic. The price is reasonable and the service is very good.

Absolutely the best pizza in Kelowna...bar none. Nice atmosphere, fireplace seating if you are lucky and friendly staff. Terrific dining experience in a casual setting.

I've been going to Olympia for years as well as enjoying their take out. The food is consistently fabulous. The service is always friendly while remaining professional. The restaurant itself is a delightful venue - I always feel I've actually eaten in a village square in a small Greek village - a true break from the everyday hustle.

Absolutely the very best!!

As a family we eat at Olympia Greek Taverna every chance we get. The food is fantastic, the service is great, and the atmosphere is perfect. Mike thanks for all the good times we've had!!!!!!

It has absolutely the best pizza ive ever had anywhere awesome food and it come piping hot just out of the oven I had to use an oven mitt just totake the pizza from the delivery guy 5 star quality
